Does Anyone Know If Excelsior Is Recoginized By Lousiana State Bon?

Yes it is. Certain states (like Illinois and Georgia) have stipulations which must be met, but California is the only state not accepting Excelsior grads. at all at this time. However, even the California BON does not expect this ban to last indefinitely and Excelsior is trying to work out a deal with them (it all has to do with the clinical requirements).

I would suggest calling your SBON and ask them. I called mine prior to beginning Excelsior's program to verify that I could sit for the boards and that my state would not need any other requirements from me.

The best way is to get it straight from the source!
