Published

Hey everyone! I wanted to see who has applied/ is planning to apply to the Excela Health CRNA program for January 2026 entry. Figured this may help answer any questions that come up along the way. I am planning on mailing my application in this week! Good luck everyone 🙂

Anybody hear anything yet?

I noticed that the check I sent with the application is pending as of today so I wonder if they are still going through applications?

I did not get an interview. They sent an email stating that I was not selected due to my science GPA being 3.5 and the average was 3.8. I'm going to take more classes to up it. They said they got more than 200 applicants which is a new high for them.

I have had similar rejections from other programs so do not let this defeat you and  keep applying! Retake any science class you got less than a B in or take a graduate level pathophys class online to show them that you are ready for graduate level work. Unfortunately, even small programs like excela are getting even more competitive as demand for CRNA school increases.

They have made their final decisions already.

Yeah apparently they didn't choose anyone with less than 3.75 to interview. Some schools don't care if you retake classes and do well they only look at your undergrad GPA (aka Pitt) and how well you did initially which sucks. Definitely worth trying though

My GPA was 3.61 and I got an interview. I'm sure there is more factors than just a GPA that plays a role into their selection.

Ummm I really think it came down to GPA. My application was really strong, minus my GPA being on the lower side. However, I'll keep taking classes to boost my chances. Good luck!

Anyone interview yet?
