Does anyone know an online post masters pmhnp that does not proctor exams, they let you use notes and searches during exams? For 2022 start.

Hello,

In my experience I have not known any graduate programs that allow you to look at notes and search answers knowingly for exams (in my opinion not even undergraduate classes) That kind of defeats the purpose of going to school and learning the material to the best of your ability. But good luck on the search!! ?

therang I can tell you for ANY graduate level program, if you're taking any exam that isn't proctoring them, I wouldn't trust the program. UC proctors every exam - I'm almost done with the program and I think it's just been a few quizzes here and there that weren't proctored. I would not respect a program that allowed notes and searches during exams - you make these programs into what you want but open book exams add to the stigma NPs already have of cruising through diploma-mills. Just my 2 cents.

Exams are proctored through a program that records sound and video. You must scan the room before starting the exam. The cost is $15/exam, but exam courses only have 3-4 exams.

Thanks. Does anyone know of an online post masters pmhnp program that provide full length comprehensive video lectures or notes to study, in order to prepare? Do they really teach, or do they leave you to just read and answer discussions and post assignments?

GUYS - you're asking the same questions over and over. As I mentioned already:

- THEY PROCTOR EXAMS. This is good and you want them to proctor otherwise you're all cheating and who the heck needs to memorize anything at that point. This is graduate school and there's zero chance I'd want someone treating me that had open book tests all through school and barely squeaked by on boards.

-It's not homework, it's graduate school. So these papers are part of any reputable program in any reputable graduate level school. Expect at least that length of paper for every class until you graduate and if you get away with a 5 page paper in a class here and there that's awesome.

I didn't do semester 1 as I already have a MSN so I couldn't tell you - every class is different and you'll just have to wait. Good luck to everyone but these are probably better questions for advisor.

I am in my third semester and have had no video lectures. It is very much an instructor led, but self-taught program. In my experience instructors are very happy to have zoom meetings, etc. if help is needed.
