ER Tech position

Hello Everyone!

I want to apply for this new Emergency Room Technician at the nearest hospital. Although I have no experience, I've made close connections with the nurses, doctors and techs there and I'm in school finishing up my pre-requisites before applying to nursing school. Any advice before applying?

If you are friendly with the Educator, let them know you are interested in working there and that you have applied. ER tends to function as their own entity, so your application can get lost in the thousands the hospital system gets per day, but the ANM or Educator can contact HR to pull your application. Be honest in your interview that you aren’t experienced but are willing to learn! Ultimately the deciding factor in whether or not you are hired comes down to whether or not they feel you are trainable, so let them know that you are and good luck!
