Can anyone give me any insight on th ER at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston NJ? Is there a pharmacology test, and are the interviews panel interviews? Is this facility unionized? What is the current starting base salary and what is the night differential rate? How do u like it there? I love the Er and i have been trying to get into this facility for a while now. I currently work for a New York hospital, but I am willing to take a pay cut for the Er and to be closer to home. Please help there is an open house coming up and I was thinking about attending. Most of the posts on here in regards to St. Barnabas are fairly, old any recent info will be great. Thanks in advance.

I did travel in NJ from FL in the ED. They (St Barnabas) has needed help because of low staff ratio for years. They have a slow time in the winter and need desperate help in the summer. I have a few RN's that moved from the ED to PACU after years of being there. You already work in NY so I think you would adjust well, but you could always take an assignment through an agency and promise 14wks and if you like it and work well with the staff (which is a big one) then you can get an interview for a permanent position. Good luck.

CEAD31 How was the staff at that facility (St. Barnabas) , I have heard good things about St. Barnabas. When it is slow in the winter do they send Nurses home?
