Folks,
I expect ot be an RN in the Spring of 2007 and am interested in how it is in the Longview WA area. My wife and I want to move from Wisconsin to Washington. We are looking around at town and cities and we want to find out more about Longview WA area.
Thanks,
Ed

Hello,
I am interested in applying for the LPN to RN program at Lowe Columbia Community College and I was warned at racism in the towm. I am an African American woman and I am very scared of things like that. What do you think?

i understand your concern...i, too am an african american woman and i was the only aa in my nursing progrm but that did not stop me and i graduated, but you have to be a trailblazer...don't let the ignorance of others deter you from your dreams in whatever your life's goals lead you...if that's where you want to go to school you have every right to attend....don't let rumors steer you wrong...the law and God is on your side...

I graduated from LCC's RN program, we had no race issue, we were quite the diverse class. Men, women, married, single, all colors, parents, not. The nursing program is like family. The town is small mill town. If you want to live in Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA the commute is really easy. LCC's nursing program is very respected in this area, LOTS of clinical experience.
