Hi, I have been a med-surg, tele and preop nurse for over 7yrs. I am very passionate about the environment and climate change and I feel drawn to change my career to something in service of that. Hospitals are wasteful and I want to use the skills for something I really believe in.
I would love a job that I can be outdoors, in nature working with my hands. I have looked into wilderness medicine courses but its not clear the type of jobs that can be gotten from those courses and I do not have critical care experience.
As a nurse I feel it could give me a leg up in forestry or environmental services potentially but I am not sure which direction to start to make a difference. If anyone has ideas??
