I saw the CNN newscast about the nursing shortage. It left me thinking about patients and their families; and, how they feel in a hospital that does not have enough nurses. I started thinking about the possibilities of helping patients/families navigate their way through the healthcare system, i.e. nurse entrepreuner to assist with medical jargon, ensure that loved one is getting needs met, teaching, researching illness, meds, etc. Any ideas?

Here's one possible idea. . . "Parish Nurse". Can be with any demonination, religion, etc.. The job-title of a parish nurse is can be basically what you described in your note.
Just a thought.
