Enjoying the Break!

Published

So, I will start nursing school in Fall of 2014 (I am on the waitlist)

So during the this summer break, I have been just volunteering at the local hospital, meeting friends, sleeping in late, and et al.

I feel like how can I go back to studying mode once I start nursing school?

I usually take summer classes, but I am done with my pre reqs. I feel really guilty now.

However, I saw some posts about before start nursing classes, they recommend DO NOTHING!

How about other fellow students think about that?

Do nothing!! I so enjoyed last summer when I did nothing besides hang out with friends, work out and go on vacations. Flash forward to this summer when all I do is work and study. Glad I had that time to relax before the pressure cooker that is nursing school.

I am taking phlebotomy course in the meantime to learn an extra skill that can be helpful in the future. Also, it keeps my brain refreshed with A&P knowledge and other things.

I am one of the ones who said do nothing. I am heading into my third, and last, semester and before you start you can not comprehend the new way of thinking that nursing school will require. Just relax, because you will have very little free time when school starts. Check out this thread I started https://allnurses.com/pre-nursing-student/things-i-wish-842649.html. Good luck!

How does being "waitlisted" work?

How does being "waitlisted" work?

You got into the school, but since the major in impacted. You have to wait maximum of 3 semester. You can enroll one unit to be in a waitlist system. I will PM you with more details.
