Hi All
I am an English Nurse working on a busy Cardiothoracic Ward, our patients are Pre/Post Surgery. I was able to ATT (NCLEX) October 2009 with the Florida Board. I flew over from England booked a 4 day course with Kaplan (Which was cancelled and no-one told me) that is another story, well as you can imagin I did fail the NCLEX Exam and the next time I take it I do not want to fail so I was wondering if there is anyone out there in Florida that would like to study with me Via Skype? I am going to start some serious heads in books time again in the New Year and I could do with a helping hand please please I could do with some help!!!!!!
Happy Christmas Everyone...

In kaplan they do have a course online--- which is basically the same thing as the classroom questions and explanations-- just that you can't ask any questions because everything is on videos.
It's a really good way to get the concepts down of how to answer the tricky questions.
you have access to all the questions they offer, the content videos of material tested on nclex, and the videos of the classroom questions they go over.
I wish you the best of luck! you can do it!
Im a big kaplan fan-- just because I think that my $$ that I spent on the program was worth every penny.
It's a bit pricey-- but since you have your money back from the cancelled previous class you were about to take.... I would invest my $$ on it.
best of luck!
BTW--- they also have live kaplan classes online! basically it's like you are in the classroom. i think that's brilliant!
I don't think that you have to buy the international version because the nclex-rn and the materials you will be tested is exactly the same thing american nurses take.
Thank you to everyone that replied:yeah:. I am going to look into the online course wish me look!!!

In my not so rich and humble opinion, forget kaplan. Get the latest edition of Suanders NCLEX preperation and make sure you get the CD that comes with it. That CD is a gold mine and has around 200 questions on each system, cardia, pulmonary, etc. Once you get the hang of doing Saunders NCLEX questions your gonna be ready! That book made the entire difference for me in nursing school and I passed NCLEX easily in 75. Many similar questions as shes done her homework and puts out a most excellent product...
to be quite honest,
I did not open up my saunder's comprehensive review-- because I felt that eventhough it was helpful getting me through my tests in nursing school-- it was way too detailed on every subject. and frankly-- that was just too overwhelming.
For me, I am not a good test taker-- but I felt that the kaplan program gave me everything I needed to pass. The book, and content review videos are organized on topics based on the nclex exam-- not on body systems as in the saunders book.
I would suggest kaplan to everybody that is taking the nclex!
