Can somebody anybody refer me to a website that will help with Eng. This has never been my favorite subject for sure. I'm taking this class online and oh boy! I'm really sruggling, I don't won't to have to drop this class but we'll see how it goes.

as far as papers go, this site helped me a lot in high school and it made it much easier for me to start my papers off. http://www.csun.edu/~hcpas003/EssayGambits.html i've taken English 101 and 102 and both times i got an A!

umm, oh yeah! when i first started writing college-level essays, i was CLUELESS!!! i went to this site http://lhh.tutor.com.dbauth.apls.state.al.us/ngen/apps/socweb/main.aspx?ID=9a1970d7-0dee-4ef2-ac3b-8a0a6ccc09ef and received live help from an online tutor about writing my paper. after that one session, i learned how to format my papers and write much better!!!

hope these sites help you and good luck! :yeah:

:thankya: iheartbabies!

:D hope it helps!

Of all the classes I have to take English is the one I dread the most, so I'm with you.

Our college has Tutors available so I'm hopeful yours would also have the same. Have you checked with the English Dept?

If we have to diagram a sentence and explain the parts of speech I might as well quit now.

Dangling participles, redundant prepreposition, verbs. nouns, adjectives, compound participles, ..............I didn't understand them in junior or senior high school and never will..........my mind just goes blank. Of course, the English teachers wouldn't know a phillips screwdriver from a pair of vice grips.

In my experience, college english wasn't anywhere near what I did in high school, so you might get lucky!!!

My teachers made us do the parts of speech stuff as well as grammar worksheets and stuff, but my professors mainly focused on improving our college level writing skills and only did about 3 classes worth of grammatical stuff ;)

The Purdue Online Writing Lab is the best free resource I have found on the web.
