I have a question! Since my license is from New Mexico. I wanna endorse it in California. But the thing is I graduated in the Philippines. Is it true that the new policy of CA board of nursing is that they require you to study again? (Particularly Med. Surg 1&2). So even though I'm possessing an active RN license in a different state I still need to study and take the nclex-rn again?
Can you stay in New Mexico for a while and get work experience there? I love it here in California too but if I'm in a situation where I have little options, I would pack and leave for where the opportunity is. I'm in the Bay Area and the VA Hospitals here are incredibly hard to get into...I know of a few experienced nurses who got in as per diem and they were seeking full time positions. Another option is to find a VA Hospital in New Mexico to work for and transfer to California once you're in the system.

Thanks! I was thinking that too. Get some experience in New Mexico then come back when everything gets better about the endorsement but I doubt it will. Thanks anyway! ?

I just recently passed my nclex RN from New Mexico. The issue is I live here (CA) and I'm having baby which changed my mind to move in New Mexico.
