Endorsement from another state to New York

Hello,

i recently became a Registered Nurse and would like to endorse my Florida RN license to NY. I did the online application, submitted the form from my school that made me eligible to sit for Nclex and completed child abuse and infection control. How long is the wait?

i called and they said 6-8 weeks. I hope that's not true as I have a job in NY waiting on me.

Has anyone done this before?

I would say those most in the know about the wait would be at the BON. You've already called and gotten the answer. All you can do is wait and hope they end up ahead of what they told you to expect.

Hi

Although I have an LPN license, I hope this helps. I applied for endorsement from NJ to NY and was told the same thing. However, in 2 weeks and change I received my nursing license and registration. Maybe 4-6 weeks is the longest they may take. I hope you receive it soon.

Thank you for your reply Ms Syanna. I wanted to update that I received my NYS Registered Nurse license this morning. So Yes you were right Msyanna. It took 2 weeks and 2 days for me. Sent my application with documents on 2/23 and received licensed today 3/13

I called them nonstop because I was so anxious to be licensed in my state. The state I love and the state that loves me.
