I have a BSN but have not taken my boards and at the same time I will graduating with a graduate certificate in Health information technology next May 2013. I am looking for a job in EMR/informatics field (HIT). Please any advice will be appreciated.

Any large healthcare facility in your area should have an informatics department where you can apply. If you can sign on with a consulting firm to get some experience providing end user support during a go live, I strongly encourage you to pursue that avenue. Most informatics departments will provide on the job training but to have a basic concept of the more popular EMR programs available will also be to your advantage. Good luck.
