I just accepted a position at St Josephs in Bellingham, wa for an EMR conversion (paper to EPIC).
Any of you currently or soon-to-be working this hospital? I have yet to be blessed with working paper charting, so this might be rather tumultuous. Per my agent, my role will be to work with paper while staff learn the ropes of EPIC. For those who have worked these EMR conversions, is it possible that with my EPIC experience I might be utilized in different ways? Kind of hoping so, but mentally prepared for the worst.
I have heard WA is beautiful. I travel with my wife and 1yr old son. Hoping to make some neat memories!

No.
Typically you're brought in to allow staff nurses to attend Epic training classes. You may stay for a couple of weeks after the go-live to replace super users as staff nurses.
I see. I half expected as such. Thanks for the response
