Employment background check

I was wondering if anyone could help me answer this question.

I am going through background check now for a hospital position. I gave my consent to call my current employer and past employers. When the third party background check company calls my current or past employer, do they tell them what hospital they are representing in verifying the person?

In my experience, yes. My former boss told me what they said/asked when they called. They did identify the name of the hospital. That doesn't mean all third party companies do this, though.
