Heading back to school this summer. Doing the whole scholarship/loan thing and looking into employer reimbursment. Can others please share what their "deals" were? What (tuition, fees, books, etc.) and how much was covered, when did they pay it (after each semester or the end of the program) and how long did you sell your souls for?:)
My tuition reimbursement was for 5000 after I got out for a 2 year contract. As someone said I sold my sold to the devil for 2 years. After 1 miserable year, I have backed out I will now have to pay 2500 plus interest, plus taxes to the tune of 1400. This tax that I will pay did not go on my w2 last year, if it does not go on 2006, i will turn them in for tax evasion. Long story short, if you are in school and working as a snr or tech tuition reimbursement is great. If it's a so called "sign on" bonus I would run and hide. I think I will post a message similar to this on the student forum. Good luck!
I have actually heard alot of horror stories about "sign on" bonuses. A few good ones- but most people say to be leery.
Thank you to everyone for the very helpful information! When I originally posted this thread- I had no idea what the deals out there were. You guys have given me a great basis to go from!
My hospital offers $2500 a year in tuition reimbursement, no contract. I am currently in an earn as you learn program. All tuition and books paid up front plus an hourly stipend to sit in class. I signed a 2 year contract. For me getting paid to be in school is worth it.Brandy
I am very interested in your Earn as you Learn program. Where is it and how can I get my hands on the applications.
thanks,

I got 100% reimbursement, including anything that I bought in the campus bookstore. So even though it was more expensive than Wal-mart, I bought my paper and pens at the bookstore as well. No committment, and 1 week after submitting my grades I got the check. It was a beautiful thing!
