Hi everyone! I am a new grad and I applied and got accepted to a nurse residency! They are conducting a background check on me. I am not worried about anything but my employment history. I worked a few jobs between high school and now (sometimes two at a time) to pay for college. When I filled out my job history I put down three relevant jobs on my application. My question is will there be a problem with my background check? I didn't think that putting down that I worked at a golf course for two summers or that I was a waitress at Bob Evans for a few months would be needed. I even doubt that most of my managers would still be at those places anyways because of high turnover. Anyways, I'm just looking for peace of mind that not putting down all of my nonnursing related jobs will screw my job opportunity.

It is less of an issue for new grads than experienced nurses. If an experienced nurse has gaps in their work history, they will need to be explained. It could be as simple as staying home to raise a child or it could be that they were fired and left it off their application. New grads typically have gaps in their employment due to school/work conflicts. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
