I just got accepted into the Summer 2032 DABSN program! I would love to hear how it is as well.

I am thinking about applying to the Emory d-ABSN program for Summer 2023.   I was just trying to think about how to schedule my time effectively.   I know a majority of the work is on your own, but does anyone know when the actual classes are scheduled that you have to attend online?   I want to make sure that I am available during those times for sure.

I graduated from this program before the next gen NCLEX cohort was started.

You have set days for exams which are usually every week. You're in Zoom the rest of the week in the beginning of the program. Weekends are usually spend studying and weekdays are spent doing case studies before class. Scheduling is done on the fly it seems by admins. No one cohort is the same except for classes taken.

Selection is "holistic" so you can have a garbage GPA with great academics merit/outside work/previous medical experience and be allowed in. There are only 30 slots and they boast that over 800 people apply per cycle.

As a fair warning it is stressful and very time consuming. There are usually a good bit of students that drop before the end of semester 1 due to the pathophysiology/acute care. This becomes additive with schedule/clinical placement uncertainty. I highly recommend just getting an ADN for cheap and making your employer pay for a BSN. It's massively cheaper and you take the same boards exam.

I got accepted to Emory's DABSN for Summer 2023 in September! I'm curious as to when we'll hear updates about course schedule, clinical placements, etc. Any ideas?

You won't receive your clinical placements until the very last minute, unfortunately.

And the same goes for updates and course schedules. This program does not plan in advance.
