Hoping someone on this form can help me! I am graduating in early August 2016 and am looking at applying for Emory's new grad residency program. I don't find their website to be helpful at all. I see the link for the external new grad applicants with listings of jobs but is there not a generic application for just the residency?
From what i read, it seems as though they start their new grads at the same time, spring or fall, so should I apply now even though I am no where near graduating? I need some clarification please!
Any other helpful info is great. Recommend any other Atlanta Hospitals?
Thanks!!
The application period that started a couple months ago was for those that graduated in June or early. You will have to wait for the next round and it will say nurse resident in the job application. There were over 700 people that just interviewed for the residency and I was lucky enough to be selected for the ED residency. Good luck to you!
Do you or anyone know if Emory requires all new grads go into Med-Surg because I noticed CCU wasn't an option on their job vacancy posted for Summer 2017?
Ahhh! That's so exciting! I really hope I am able to get a position there next Summer/Fall 2017 *praying*
I actually applied today as well since I noticed on one of these threads someone was offered CVICU. As a new grad I want a job offer, so seeking an opportunity at all hospitals with positive reputations and trusting God!
Well at the time I had plans to actually relocate to Atlanta, and I've always heard how awesome Emory was in terms of being a teaching facility, etc. Now that things have changed I'm going to be staying here in NC for a little longer than expected, I won't be attending the interview process. However, when the time comes for me to relocate there in the near future, it will still be @ the top of my list lol (: Good luck on your endeavors!
Can you share what prompted your strong desire to Emory?
Hello,
I just received an email notifying me I received multiple offers from Wellstar at AMC-Downtown for critical care or acute care Neuro/tele. Once I notify her they will get the offer to me. The base pay $23.65 but with differentials it ends up being $29.
Of course, I will keep my options open if contacted by Emory and Piedmont.

Yes, I am hoping to work in ICU upon graduating. I've only applied to Emory and Piedmont. I'm only applying to the Atlanta area just to see if I'll get an offer since I live here in NC. If I see or hear anything I'll update you on here. Good luck to you too!!
