Emory Hospital New Grad Residency Spring 2017

Hello!

I have couple of questions:

how much is the pay rate for new grads at Emory?

Has anyone applied for Rehabilitation or OR?

If anyone currently working at those two positions--Please let me know how is your experience..

Should I go after OR or Rehab?

Pay is $23/hr

I started in August of this year and was started off at $24/hr

How is your experience and do you have friends that accepted jobs with other hospitals that you've compared your experiences? I'm interested to hear views about different hospitals programs in regards to the teaching and embracing new grads. Thanks and congrats.

I don't know anybody in the area so I wouldn't be able to tell you about comparisons. I know some of the nurses here work at Grady also and say they hate it. I know some of the hospitals in the area offer student loan repayment and/or bonuses to sign on with them but Emory doesn't offer any incentives because they feel as if their name is good enough to get you any job after working here.

How are you enjoying your new career and what department did you select? Do you know if critical care is an option for new grads because I didn't see it as an option with Emory?
