Has anyone applied to D-ABSN Fall 2023 cohort? Any updates if you have been accepted or still waiting for decision?

If you are an alumni, what are your thoughts about the program?

I applied for the Fall 2023 cohort too - just waiting on a decision. Does anyone know when they'll be sending out admission decisions?

@occipitalobo they said decisions are being released on a rolling basis as the admissions team reviews the files-- so I'm not exactly sure when that might be, there is no timeline. I really hope we get in. I am quite worried because the admission rate is very low and it's very competitive.

Hi, I was accepted to the Fall 2023 Cohort. Was wondering if someone already created a facebook group?

I'm currently in the DABSN program and would be happy to answer any questions.

I sent you a pm. You have to post 15 total times to respond to it.

Yes, it looks like I have to do a few more posts to be able to respond to it via allnurses, but I just tried to respond.

@GoDawgs84 Hey!! Are you in Spring 2023 Cohort? In which state do most students live? I don't know how the school selects students, but it seems clinical availability is kinda important to get admitted to this program. How's the program? Is it too much? When do you usually go to the clinical? How long is your clinical? Do you have any other peers from our program to do the clinical session with or just by yourself?

Thank you so much for your response!

Hey, send me a private message and I'll be happy to answer all of your specific questions. ? (Apparently I can't send you one because I don't have 15 posts, but it lets me reply to messages.)

@GoDawgs84 I just send you a private message! Thanks lot!!

Pre-nursing students,

I highly recommend you rethink before doing Emory DABSN. I am graduating, and I would never recommend this program to anyone. This program is the most unorganized and unprofessional program there is for 80k. #2 nursing program in the country? Please. Do not attend this program if you are looking to be supported during nursing school. The director, faculty, and staff are the most unhelpful and disorganized people. I regret being a part of this program and wish I had someone to tell me to not waste my time. Sure you get done in 11 months but if you don't want to go through hell and back I would not recommend this. They preach on "advocating for yourself" but get mad and retaliate against you when you do. They say they will offer support, but never do. You will not be in any other clinicals than Med Surg. So you have to fight to get a job in other areas because hospitals will be hesitant to hire you if you have no experience. The whole program is full of constant stress and false promises. Beware

I'm in this program as well, and I'd love to chat with you.
