What are the differences between the two Sheehy's books?!

  1. Hello everyone !
Im starting a new ED position in 2 weeks (*scared and excited*). Im coming from a medicine unit!
I wanted to be prepared and start reading and learning about things pertaining to the ED. I've done research on this site, and a lot of people recommended the Sheehy's manual of emergency care and Sheehy's Emergency nursing: Principles and Practice. What are the differences between the two books? Which one should I get ?! What content does each book contain ?! (finicially I want to get one first that will help me become a better more knowledgeable ED nurse)

Thank you for the help and advice in advance!

    I have them both.

I would suggest the Manual of Emergency Care. It's a summarized approach to assessing and treating the various derangements that present to the ED whereas the other is a textbook more suitable to a class in nursing school.
