  1. Girl, wear your natural hair ! I also have natural hair, I've worn it to work many times with no complaints. In fact my managers/ patients/ families always comment on how beautiful my hair type is. For interviews maybe do it in a bun. But other than that, embrace you!
  2. Hello everyone ! Im starting a new ED position in 2 weeks (*scared and excited*). Im coming from a medicine unit! I wanted to be prepared and start reading and learning about things pertaining to the ED. I've done research on this site, and a lot of people recommended the Sheehy's manual of emergency care and Sheehy's Emergency nursing: Principles and Practice.[h=1][/h]What are the differences between the two books? Which one should I get ?! What content does each book contain ?! (finicially I want to get one first that will help me become a better more knowledgeable ED nurse) Thank you for the help and advice in advance! [h=1] [/h]

  10. hello, I know this post is old, but I am also going through something similar. I got let go from a previous job. A new future employer contacted me and asked what the reason was for me leaving the previous position, is it appropriate for me to state, "I dont believe I got the support I needed to be successful on the unit" as I reason to this question??
  11. hello this post is old, but I need help! I recently got fired from a job. I am currently looking, if/when asked why I left the previous job is it appropriate to say, "The previous job did not provide me with the support I needed to be successful on the unit" Or does another response needed?
  12. Your brains, knowledge and skills are much more important than beauty!! Apply. Once you start clinical you'll realize how you care for your patients are much more important than anything else
  13. Uworld was an amazing resource for me.Maybe re-evaluate the way you studied? Did you do the questions and understood WHY you got a question right or wrong? Also the Mark Kimleck audios are very helpful , a very good resource.
