:redpinkhei do enjoy my job even if i get stressed sometimes-- but i realized that i don't want to be a floor nurse forever, so that is why i am back at school getting my bsn.
as an rn, right now i am getting my experience working on the floors, sometimes i am floated to stepdown picu & nicu--- as well as to other units.
but does anyone know a website, or something else that i can do with my rn career that has nothing to do with bedside nursing? (besides the er or rapid care center)
thanks!

Case management is always an option. CM's are needed in the inpatient setting (but have minimal or no patient care) and home health.

you can be a research nurse, work in a clinic (regular m-f days, no nights or weekends), or work for a biopharma company (drug safety). rns can also be cras (clinical research associates) who monitor clinical trials (you won't be stressed taking care of patients on the floor). hope that helps.
