Electronic Stethoscope.. worth the $?

I am looking into buying a more sensitive stethoscope and I was looking at buying the 3M littmann electronic stethoscope. Is it really worth the $300+ price tag or should I just go with the standard double tube? any suggestions or new options out there?

Specializes in Med./Surg., Diabetes, Med. ICU, home hea.

Getting older and hearing is going, especially auscultating lungs and heart sounds. It allowed me to continue working!

I bought one when I started traveling and I loved it. However, since I have since started working meds and NICU, it has been sitting in a storage case since it is too big for my needs :(
