election ban hiring is it still on going? what exact date would that be ineffective?

i applied in some public hospital last month but they all said that they are'nt accepting applicants because of the election ban hiring i forgot to ask them when will the election ban hiring would end...

I understand your situation, since I am also waiting for that election ban to be lifted. They will resume hiring after June 30 which is the day where the newly elected officials will start their term of office.

i dont understand it. govt offices are not allowed to hire during election, for what reason? is election days considered a non working holiday?

Well the way I understand it, COMELEC ruled to have a ban before and after election for the reason that they want to avoid midnight appointments (appointments that are given in exchange of favor for the appointing officials advantage) since this is very rampant during election. It is lifted after June 30 because the newly elected or re-elected officials will assume their office.
