El Centro Nursing Program

has anyone applied to the El Centro Nursing Program with the new points system? how many points is everyone applying with or how many points are they accepting?

Hey I am currently at TWU but I am debating on whether to transfer to el centro nursing program so I can get my degree a little faster with me being a young mom. So if any of you could reply back with info reguarding the el centro nursing program like how hard it is, how long it usually takes> All you can share with me would be very helpful!

Thanks future nurses and good luck!

I just got in and I had 17 points... Im not sure what the minimum is this semester, but my friend got in too and she only had 15.

El Centro's program is prestigious in the DFW area... i think its 4 semesters and no summer classes. I am a young mom too...my little one is 15 months and Im really hoping that doing this now will be the best thing for her. I have busted my butt, getting all A's, taking as many of the support classes I could before the application deadline and stayed up many nights studying for the HESI. I got all the points possible for HESI. I have a determination and a drive that no one can change in me...I believe that's the biggest thing in my favor right now.

If you have time before you apply, I would look into getting your CNA license, as this will put you ahead points wise and also give you a head start when you start clinicals.
