I was starting to wonder why there wasn't much activity on the other thread. Anyhoo, test 2 has thrown me for a loop. I did well so I'm trying not to be mad or disappointed but I still haven't figured out how to study for these exams. I felt better prepared for test 1 (which I bombed miserably) than I did for test 2. IDK, test 2 had a lot of info on it (25 chapters @ NLC). Maybe that had something to do with it. Who knows.
Wow. You did awesome on the 1st test. Congrats! I think our class avg was 76.8 which is exactly what I made. Test 2 avg was 83.4 and I managed a 90. The thing that frustrates me the most is that I'm still not any closer to figuring out the best way to study. I feel like I got lucky on last one. How do you like the fundamentals to sucess book? I've seen a few people with it but haven't looked inside to see what the content is like. Good luck with test 2. Let us know how your study 'plan' works out.
Chicpea9 and Stephanie811,
Excellent job on your grades. My wife's grade was about the same as Chicpea's. She has been debating whether to buy the Fundamentals Success book. Ive read where the upperclass men have given great reviews of it and it helps alot on test taking. Stephanie811, good luck with your test #2 next week.

I may have just gotten lucky on the first test. ButI do feel like the book helped out a lot. It has questions and then the rationales of each answer so if you choose the wrong one you can see why it is wrong and why the right one is right. I think that helps with understanding how to anwser the questions or what answer they are looking for. I got it on amazon.com I don't think they keep it in stock at most book stores.
Maura the book is Fundamentals Success by Patricia Nugent and Barbara Vitale. Good luck getting in.
Maurabartley,
I hope you get in for the Fall 08, Which school do you prefer..Northlake / El Centro? Do you have all of your prerequisites completed? Support classes ?
My wife had all A's in her prerequisites except for APII which was a B. She had all of her support classes completed except Micro which she intends to take in the summer.
Rick
Hi, Hubby,
I put North Lake as my first choice with El Centro as second. I have all of my pre-reqs done as well as all of the support classes. If I don't get in for Fall 08, I'll have to take AP I over and the HPRS class again - b/c of the time limitation rule. If that happens, I MAY contemplate going elsewhere. Or at least apply to more than one program. I have a BS in Business.
Stephanie, thanks for the name of the book....every book helps!!!
