EKU PMHNP summer '17 start

Hello mama_rachael I am not in the PMHNP program but I was accepted into the FNP program at EKU starting Fall 2017. I'm interested to hear how your preparation has been thusfar and what communication you have received. I have already got my student webmail and EKU Direct setup. Did they mention to you about any kind of orientation (online) or when you will register for classes? I havent emailed the department to check for guidance yet, but will probably do so in the near future. I'm super excited to start, I graduated from their brick-and-mortar BSN program. I loved EKU, lived in the dorms there and still have friends from my class (this was 13 years ago). I had an extremely good experience there as an undergrad.

Hi there! I am currently working on my application for the EKU PHMNP program, hoping to start summer '17 term. When did you apply and how long did it take for you to be accepted? So glad I found you! Maybe we will be classmates!

Hey gilgab. I'm not sure about the PMHNP program, but after all my application materials for the FNP program were received it took about 3 weeks. You have to give 3 email addresses of references (and they have to complete a form and email back to school), and all your transcripts, personal statement, CV, etc have to all be received before they will consider your application. Once all of mine was received it wasnt long that i heard back.

From the time they sent my application to the review committee it was about a week and a half before I got an email with my acceptance letter attached! I have been talking with my advisor who said she will be sending out direction sometime in February!

Hello, I also applied to EKU for PMHNP for summer 2017 start. I have not heard anything back from them yet. They received all my application materials ending of January. Should I be concerned?

Hello, I'm in the same boat angelhearty15! I applied for EKU's post MSN PMHNP program at the very end of December 2016 for the summer 2017 start. All my transcripts didn't make it there until mid-January. My app is now pending review. I am so hopeful for acceptance!! Good luck all, and congrats on your acceptance to the program mama_rachael!
