EFSC ADN Class of 2021 (Summer 19 Applicants)

Published

??‍? Hi Everyone!

I have applied for the Spring 2020 ADN program at Eastern Florida State College, and I'm wondering who else has applied, and with how many points?

Would love for everyone to post once the letters start coming in the mail!

30 points here, will have possibly 37 for the March 2020 application deadline.

I submitted two really good letters... when I tell you I did everything possible lol the only thing I didn’t have was AP2 which I’m taking right now. If your friend legit got in with 26 pts they’re gonna really have to explain why I didn’t get in with some hard facts because the numbers aren’t adding up.

As far as I know my friend did have everything, and the TEAS score was really good. You might not have gotten in because you didn't have A&P 2.. I wish they made it to where you didn't have to have everything done by the deadline. I busted my butt to do that lol.

I'm not sure what they will be able to do for you if you bring up my friend, because they can neither confirm or deny that I think. I would just say something like "I know for a fact someone else got in with lower points than I did." I wouldn't bring up the stats. They are not allowed to give out student info... and the health science advisors are not on the selection committee. If he got in with points that low, there must be some other contributing factors that we don't realize. It's all up to the selection committee...

As far as having all the classes completed, from my understanding and from speaking to the advisor before I applied, having all the classes only helps you when it comes down to points. So bottom line, if it’s a points based selection process, then I somehow got screwed. If the score on the TEAS is what kept me from getting selected, then this should’ve been listed on the selection criteria on the EFSC page... what I mean is for example (The higher your score on the TEAS, the better your chances are) something along those lines. I was told as long as you pass your TEAS, you’re good. So let’s see what they tell me today.

Good luck, let me know!

The mail came, but still no letter. Does your last name start with A-C?

My last name starts with a P, it looks like my package was stamped September 12th....I can't believe it took 4 days to get delivered to Merritt Island.

OMWTbeaRN keeping my fingers crossed for you, were they able to give you any insight on what happened? Someone on a previous year's thread said their points got miscalculated and they ended up being given a slot after the error was noticed. I am so hoping it is something simple like that for you!

I called today to ask, and they said they sent all letters out on Thursday. I'm in Cocoa Beach, and I have no idea why I still haven't gotten anything in the mail. The wait for the mailman today was already agonizing enough! Now I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon. I'm so anxious, it's all I can think about! I wish they would email us or something.

Woohoo! Congratulations!
