Educational Visit to Hawaii

Hello my name is Jan and I am from Australia.

I am a Nurse Educator at a TAFE( Training and Further Education)Institute in Victoria and my special area of interest is Dementia Care and Activities.

As I will be in Oahu in December I am hoping perhaps to visit some Aged Care Facilities as I am extremely interested to see what nursing developments are happening in the US in caring for clients with dementia.

Hence I am hoping that a fellow Nurse might be able to give me some ideas how I might organise this. :uhoh21:

I look forward to any advice, suggestions or ideas that anyone might have in regard to this.

This hospital has a geri-psych unit with a lot of dementia. Don't know about any others. Put "hawaii hospitals" in google and you can get links to all the hospitals.
