What are the educational requirements for nursing in the US? Does it differ state by state? Are there any generalities?
I am planning to soon write (and pass!) the NCLEX-RN and have a CGFNS-approved RN certificate (from South Korea). I was thinking of nursing in Canada but they now require a university degree in nursing, don't they? Canada seems to be less lucrative with the high taxes and large government.
If you had a choice, where would you nurse: Canada or the US? My husband is Canadian but we're thinking of relocating and immigrating to the US to settle down, buy a home, and start a career. If your answer is the US, where? Which state?
What would I have to do to become an American citizen? Could I work for a few years a nurse and then become a citizen? Where could I get info about this? I've done Internet searches about this but all the results are immigration lawyears or book sellers.
