Educational Philosophy Statement

I'm halfway through my MSN Ed. and am currently applying to LPN instructor positions. One position asks for an Educational Philosophy statement.

I was not taught how to write one in my program (yet, I suppose?) so I have no guidance on this matter therefore I thought I'd reach out to All Nurses for suggestions.

Typically, how long is this statement? Do I cite a known educational philosophy? And it's OK to use "I" in the philosophy since it is MY philosophy, right?

I, of course, have googled some and come across varied results.
