ECU Alternate Entry MSN Program Fall 2008

Published

Has anyone applied to the AEMSN program at ECU for the Fall 2008? I submitted my application in mid January and got called to interview a few days ago. I am scheduled for this coming Wednesday. I hope to talk to others who are interested in the program!

I get the same feeling about the program--it seems like they want you to be really into the MSN concentration you choose and they seem to want to support that choice-we will see though. I live in Raleigh (well really Morrisville/Cary)-but pretty much the same. What is your BS in? I feel pretty comfortable with commuting mostly to g-ville, I may get an apt to share through the week though.

I am also in Raleigh. I got my BS in Biology in 04 and have been working at UNC-CH in a cancer research lab the past few years while taking night classes at Durham Tech (I'm finishing up my last prereq, micro, as we speak). How about you? I think if I end up doing the program I'll probably get an apt in Greenville for the first year, and then come back this way for the masters portion. I guess I figure that it would be smarter for me to spend my time studying rather than driving 2+ hours a day!

I also got my BS in Biology in 2004, I am taking one prereq at WakeTech that I didn't have. I want to get an apartment in G-ville for the first year and then do the 2nd part from Raleigh too, I think it will be too much to commute everyday. Hope you get good news from the mailbox this week! Let me know!

Hi,

I just got interviewed last Wednesday. I had my application in last November, but only now have heard from them. They told me it will be a few weeks before I hear anything from my interview. I am crossing my fingers!

I may have to get an apartment as well. I will be living 1 hour and 40 minutes away.

When I called the graduate school, I was told they would not interview everyone. I was fortunate to get a interview, but have not heard anything yet. I'm waiting for my envelope in the mail.

Good luck kaystho! I submitted my application mid January and interviewed in February. They told me at my interview I should hear something around March 15, so I am anxiously waiting too! Did you apply to other schools? What masters specialty are you thinking of doing?

I am thinking about the FNP program. What area are you interested in? Let me know if you get your small envelope in the mail!

Good luck to both of you! I think being chosen for an interview is a huge deal because they get so many applicants for the few spots-congrats on that! Keep me posted, I will be thinking of ya'll!
