Has anyone taken the On-line Critical Care Nursing Program from Echelon to get ready to transition to ICU? Was it helpful? Worth the money? Thank you!
Here is the link to the program:

Never heard of it, and $250 is a good chunk of change to casually toss around in my book. Have you already been hired into an ICU? If so, check to see if the unit enrolls new ICU nurses in AACN's Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO)-not only should it be free of cost to you, but most if not all employers compensate you for doing it. Otherwise there are plenty of great books and such out there for a fraction of the cost.

That's a rip off. Go buy yourself a CCRN book and be a sponge when you transition into the ICU. Intellectual curiosity and an awesome attitude will do you wonders in the ICU.
Hi,
Thank you for your reply. I haven't been hired yet. I am waiting until April to apply and I wanted to start getting ready. Thank you for the info.
Thank you bfreezy. I thought it might be. It is sometimes easier for me to follow a course or some type of order. I am going to go with a book or a combination of them. And I'll make my own tymeline lol Thanks again.
