Is it true that ST elevation/ depression and T wave changes from certain electrolyte imbalances (tented, flat) can only reliably be confirmed on a 12-lead ECG (as opposed to 5-lead bedside monitoring)? Thanks in advance :)

ecg readings
5 lead monitors are non-diagnostic they only show a potential or a trend up /down of st seg as for t-wave you can print a QRS configuration and it shows pt. mormal with interposed change but 12 lead is only true reflection
