Hello, I was wondering if anyone could answer, As, a nurse how are you able do decide a treatment and identifying someone with an eating disorder

NO, we do not specifically diagnose medical conditions/disorders as nurses. Doctors/Advanced Nurse Practicioners fill that role. However, It IS up to us to observe for these things, implementing them into our plan of care and reporting these conditions/problems to their health care providers. It is also for us to request ancillary assistance in treating the person, such as dietary consults, etc. That as nurses, we do.
