Has anyone applied to Eastern Florida State College’s Fall 2020 ADN program with a start date in August (application deadline March 15th but with Covid-19 they extended the deadline to March 30th) I’m wondering if anyone has received their acceptance letters yet or how they’re feeling about their status of application? I’m so nervous!

Hi!! I applied too, I posted on the other threat but thought I should respond to this one too LOL. But how do you feel of your chances are on getting in? I’m praying we all get in, I just heard that a lot of people usually apply and they only accept around 60 people. IDK if that’s true or not.

I’m doing the same thing! I feel like it’s all I’m thinking about lately! I need a support group or something just to calm my nerves (ha!) and honestly I have no idea?! After reading everyone else’s scores and what they submitted I feel like it’s totally up in the air and who really knows, right? And now that they’ve added the questions, removed the points, and there’s still everyones personal statement... I feel totally clueless. I have a 4.0 and I got a 92% on the TEAS in reading but I saw other people who did better/had experience so I don’t even know what/how to feel! How do you feel?!?! Yikes! I can’t even think about them only accepting 60 people... makes me sad. LOL

You did AMAZING on the TEAS test!! I got a 75 in the reading.. so I do not feel too great on getting accepted after seeing everyone’s score. If they’re accepting people based on the scores, I don’t stand a chance. If you don’t mind me asking, did you submit anything for the work life/experience/credentials portion of the application? And we should honestly start a group or something! I think it would be good to cheer each other on honestly

I didn’t do too great on the overall score so don’t worry at all! I didn’t study enough like a total dummy! I think they’re going to look at the overall application more than anything. And I submitted past work experience but I had no healthcare and very very little volunteering. It was mainly just my TEAS, transcript, personal statement, questionnaire, CPR cert, and 3 letters of recommendation. What about you?! And I totally AGREE! I was looking all over facebook hoping someone already a group/something similar but there’s nothing! At least so we can talk about it and wait through it together it’ll be so nice. I’ve been losing my mind haha!

They’re not looking at the over all score, just the reading portion, so you’re fine on that! I currently go to EFSC and graduated there with my A.A. and graduated there from a health care program. I work at health first currently as a CNA, I have my bls & CPR cert. along with a few other certifications in health care that I submitted. I did 4 letters of recommendation, so I’m hoping all of that will outweigh my TEAS score. I personally think from what you’ve told me, you have a really great chance on getting accepted

Oh you’re fine! You have your AA, healthcare experience, CNA, and 4 letters of recommendation! Healthcare experience and AA is so much more weighted than the TEAS! At least I would think- makes more sense?! That’s what I’m worried about anyway! I think you’re so good I wouldn’t be worried at all!!

I’m not sure, I hope so! But same for you!! I’m really positive about you getting accepted! Good luck to you!!

Same to you ❤️❤️❤️ Keep me updated!

Hello all!

Did you guys apply to their traditional ADN program or the Transition program for LPN/RT/paramedics ??

I applied for the transition program as I am already an LPN but the start date is Fall 2020 as well ?

I applied to the traditional but I believe it’s all the same thing, right?

I applied to the traditional ADN too! I think the hybrid program (13 month) is the one @lvega18 is talking about and that had a deadline sometime mid-May where the 2-year program had a deadline end of March. I’m not sure on the exact/all differences but it’s definitely a different program but best of luck to you! ❤️ That’s awesome you’re already an LPN!
