Hello I am taking my TEAS on Tuesday, I hear its mostly math...argh. But I am sure I will do fine...and I want part time so I guess I can breathe easier.
Anyway I wanted to know where their clinical sites are? Do they do any hospitals at all or all offices and LTC?
What are the uniforms like? Color? Does the style have to be all the same or just the color?
Lastly, the books. Can you get them as you go in the program or you must get them all at once? Can you get them from anywhere to save money?
Does anyone recommend any gadgets or anything that I may need to get, like a stethoscope, etc? I am trying to ask for things for Christmas that I may need for school, haha.
Thanks everyone!!
Bumping and asking what score do I need on the TEAS...I am patiently waiting.

Hi again lol, I wish I could tell you about the clinical sites, I had a paper with where clinicals were but threw it out, but I do think you go to hospitals as well as nursing homes. The tops were dark blue and I think the pants were white(not sure why they are so into white pants! ) The books you can get as you go along, they gave us a site and a code to get a small discount but the discount did not work so I got them on Amazon. I had a stethoscope from my CNA course it might be a good idea to get one to practice on people with, one more thing they are REALLY REALLY strict about cell phones, the school has mostly high school kids so they have issues about that, like people taking pics of the kids without consent(not sure who would do that but whatever lol) You either have to go outside or sneak in the bathroom to use your phone.
Here are my TEAS scores, they are not the best but they were high enough to get me into full time, which you get put into if you score in the upper percent based on the others who took it at Dutchess Boces:
TEAS Reading - 42 73.81%
Paragraph and Passage Comprehension 68.42%
Informational Source Comprehension 82.61%
TEAS Mathematics - 30 73.33%
Numbers and Operations 73.68%
Algebraic Applications 75.00%
Data Interpretation 66.67%
Measurement 75.00%
TEAS Science - 48 43.75%
Human Body Science 63.64%
Life Science 33.33%
Earth and Physical Science 50.00%
Scientific Reasoning 75.00%
TEAS English and Language Usage - 30 50.00%
Grammar and Word Meanings in Context 73.33%
Spelling and Punctuation 33.33%
Structure 16.67%
You kicked but in Math! I took the Teas version 5, did you? I got a 64% percentile overall so not sure if I will get in. I believe she told us a 53% we needed so I would think I was safe, unless the other people taking it that day did much better. Thank you soo much for all your help :)
I think you will get in, you mentioned on the other thread that part time is full and you are not sure what you are going to do. Maybe you could try a PTA or COTA program you probably have all the pre reqs for the programs. No problem, I like to help especially since not too many people talk about Dutchess Boces on here.
