Hello,
Does anyone have any insights on the application/admission process for Duke's Spring 2025 MSN programs?
If yall don't mind me asking what was your GPA, years of experience and speciality currently.
I was not accepted but felt that my interview went great! I have 5.5 years total of nursing as LPN and the past 2 were medsurg. I've been a Med surg RN since May. I don't know if I just didn't have enough time as an RN or if they are looking for something else. I applied to the FNP.

Personally, I would say it was probably due to lack of experience in the RN role! Once you have 1 year I would apply again!

Hey! I honestly don't think GPA plays the biggest part, I think it's based on your experience including WHERE that experience is. I graduated with my BSN in May and got into the FNP program but I worked in highly ranked hospitals and was an EMT in high school. If you want to apply again next year I'm sure having some high quality experience could get you an acceptance! But to answer your question, my GPA was 3.74 and I'm a in a new grad on a cardiac floor.

I'm also SUPER worried. I called financial aid today though and they said financial aid packets should be out in 1-2 weeks. Fingers crossed!

Do you have any tips on how your interview went? I am prepping for mine next week for AGACNP MSN program. I know from previous threads that there are 5 questions and they are situational questions. Is there any questions about experience or anything out of ordinary I should prepare for

Aw man! I had medic experience in the military then went LPN to RN. However my hospital was a smaller one in a rural area, and my RN program was a community college, my bachelors was in another area. I bet the where is import, thank you for the insight& congrats!!

I don't really have any tips tbh, I read what other people said in past years forums and they were pretty accurate. A few situational questions but nothing that jumped out. I also interviewed for FNP which could be different. But good luck!
Did my interview yesterday! I believe they're interviewing the entire week this week based on the sign up.
I was told by my interviewer it could be a few weeks to find out anything. Any one else interviewing this week?
Here is my timeline thus far for anyone curious
June 15 - submitted entire application with references
July 3- contacted by phone by admissions to say they needed clarification on my transcripts (fixed same day)
July 5- status changed to under faculty review
July 29- extended interview invitation
August 6- interviewed
Now we wait!

I don't remember where I saw it, and it may not be accurate, but I saw anywhere from 13-15k a semester!
