Duke University Fall 2025 DNP AGACNP

Hi everyone!

Wanted to start a thread for those applying to Duke's DNP program for Fall 2025. I am applying for BSN to DNP AGACNP. Paitently waiting to hear back about an interview invite, but it seems that those may not even go out until February 2025.

I also applied for Duke's BSN to DNP AGACNP program for Fall 2025 and was told we could hear back by mid-January at the earliest. I'm staying patient!

Hi!! Thats awesome. Good luck to you! Hopefully we hear something back soon. I was told not until February for an interview invite when I recently emailed them. I also applied to Georgetown and Vanderbilt and got into those programs, but really want to go to Duke, so trying to stay patient as well. Easier said than done though, haha.

I just thought I'd let you know that initial interview invites went out mid-February last year (2024), so be patient (I know it's hard!)

Thank you for that information, Robert! Since you're a current student, do you mind sharing what the program is like? Are the classes online and asynchronous, or are they on Zoom? Do you feel the program is manageable while working?

Hello, 

Yes, there was about a three-week delay from the interview to my acceptance letter. It was the longest three weeks of my life, if I remember.

Apologies—I don't check this board frequently. I'm finishing my first year in the program, and I'm still working full-time in the ICU while managing a full course load. It's certainly doable, although I understand the content and time commitments ramp up exponentially once you get into your concentration coursework (from what I've heard). 

The program varies depending on the class and semester and has a mixture of asynchronous and synchronous classes. I will say that when comparing notes to some of my co-workers who are enrolled in similar programs through your run-of-the-mill diploma programs out there, the quality of the coursework and the degree of attention you get from the professors is superb. You get what you pay for, as they say.
