Dear All,

I am an NCLEX passer,IELTS, having visa screen certificate and my DS I 140 was approved by USCIS and my priority date is September 2008. I would like to ask if these are enough requirement for me to get an SSN if I will go to USA as a tourist?

No it will not help you get a SSN. You need a valid work or immigrant visa, approval will not be enough

The more the people abuse the tourist visa, the liklier that it will be rescinded.

If I go as a tourist and find an employer in USA, how long it will take to process the working visa?

You can look for a employer but processing the visa still means you have to return home and wait. If you are fortunate to find a employer willing to petition for H1b visa then they have to file and you have to wait for a medical and interview. They have to prove that they can not employ a USC or PR and with current situation where US employers are encouraged to employ USC or PR and that unemployment is high in many places this may be hard for employer to prove they can not employ locally

What shall I do if my NCLEX will expire and don not have SSN as a requirement to get my RN California lisence? Does it mean that I need to take the exam again?

If you haven't asked CA for a extension or applied to another state and moved your NCLEX results across then if CA destroy your file it means your NCLEX results have gone and you would have to resit again.

I suggest a good read on the forum and maybe search for California as much has already been written about this
