drug toxicity

Im working on a care plan for a pt that was seen in the ed. It was suspected that the pt had taken too many vicodin, & soma. My problem is that I need to write up the patho on the medical dx, but I was never actually able to find a diagnosis because the pt was just admitted to the ed. Any one have any clue as to what I should look up to do the patho on??! Thank you all for any help you can give me!

Did you assess the patient? What were the main problems? Were they experiencing respiratory depression? Muscle weakness, slurred speech, or other signs of acute opioid intoxication? I think you could come up with a patho for opioid overdose, you would have the cause, symptoms, complications and appropriatemedical and nursing interventions
