Drug test next week..question!

Im Prescribed xanax prn from my family physician. When I take my test next week it will show positive for benzos. Can the school deny my acceptance because Im taking this med, even with a valid prescription?

As long as everything is legitimate you'll have nothing to worry about.

If it works like my work drug screen, when something positive comes up the agency contacts you regarding medications. They then get the prescription # from the bottle and the name of the pharmacy where it was filled to verify information. If everything checks out the screen just comes back as pass.

So should I take my bottle with me and just let them know up front?

If it goes like mine they don't even want the information. The way it works here is the local facility collects specimen and verifies temperature to validate a legitimate sample, then they mail it off to a third party lab. That third party lab takes care of everything.

My test is due by Friday the 7th...thats when I have to take it by. So if they have to send it off, I wonder what kind of issues that would cause with the deadline. Grrrr. Might just stop taking it until then just so I dont even have to bother with it. I take .5 mg to help sleep. It should be out of my system by next Thurday right.....9 days?
