Drug, Parm guide for school and NCLEX

Published

Honestly, I had a rough experience with nursing school and pharmacology. A lot of my pharm troubles could have been avoided if I was given the right guidance on what is relevant for nurses and what is not so much. Like any ambitious student, I mistakenly spent countless hours studying the unnecessary info those 1000+ page books drown you with. I worked tirelessly to improve on this area while preparing for my NCLEX. What I ended up doing and what really helped me was that I created a drug guide made up of the main classifications and drugs that I encountered in school and preparing for my test. I included only relevant info such as vital signs to watch for, labs, common & severe side effects, possible routes of administration, and nursing considerations, all of which they like to test you on. Thankfully, I got my license on the first try with only 75 questions on the newly updated 2016 version of the NCLEX, and I strongly feel this drug guide helped me successfully prepare for one of my weak points. I recommend you do something similar and type it out so you can constantly update it with new info. To help students, I input my entire guide into a mobile app and I want to share it with all of you. Visit my website App | NCLEX Study Guide - Best place to Study for the NCLEX or my facebook page to learn more about it, it's called: NCLEX Drug Study Guide. I wish you all the best of luck and happy studying.
