Dropping the Honors Program?

Hello all,

I am currently enrolled in my school's Honors Program right now, but I am seriously thinking about dropping it. How bad would a 'W' look on my transcipt for the Honors Program?

For our Honors program, we are assigned to a mentor and we basically help our mentor complete portions of their research project. I signed up for it initially because I thought it would look good on my resume and help me get into grad school later in the future, but it is turning out to be a lot more work than I anticipated. I'm having a hard time juggling my classes and this (I am taking OB, Peds and Leadership this semester, but our OB class is stressful in that we have a quiz every week), along with my duties as an officer in the Student Nurse Association. Also, I'm finding out that research is really not my thing and I find it boring.

I also feel like my grades are suffering somewhat because I'm spreading myself thin (or it might be because the material is just hard!). I am making B's this semester whereas I've had all A's my previous two semesters. I would drop the Honors Program in a heartbeat if it didn't mean a W on my transcript. What would yall do? Stick it out or drop it?

I would stick it out. The damage is probably already done, but maybe you can salvage some A's with more work during your current "down" time. I wouldn't go with it for next term though, end of the term is the time to let it go. Just how I see it.
