I think you can get away with buying pants for your scrubs, if they are very close to the color. But as far as the top.. I think you have to purchase them directly at Dove. Since they have have the patch sewn on to your scrubs. Atleast that's how it is for my program. I spent 130 for two tops and one pants. It can get very expensive. Good luck!
My program also required us to buy our clinical uniforms from Dove and I spent almost $200 for 2 tops and 2 pairs of pants, ouch! This probably varies by school but mine is very strict about uniforms and so buying off-brand pants isn't an option - they've literally sent people home for showing up in non-Dove scrub pants that weren't quite the same shade as the top. (Our tops are embroidered so no no wiggle room there either.) If it's any consolation any blood/other body fluids I've gotten on them - and they're white - has washed out nicely so at least they should last through all two years.

I am starting nursing school very soon and will have to purchase DOVE brand scrubs in "wine" color. I am told they are very expensive and I am required to purchase them at orientation, which is a few days before classes start. I am wondering if there is a cheaper brand whose shade of "wine" and fabric is a close match so I can stock up without spending tons of money. I really want to get pants before orientation so I have time to get them altered if necessary since I am not very tall and length is usually a problem. Thanks so much!
