I am hoping to end up with 14 points. I have a previous degree, work experience, and the university courses they suggest. I spoke with admissions today and they said they only have space for 5 students to enter into the 2nd year direct entry. Therefore, waiting for a year is the most likely scenario. Have you applied to Douglas's RN program as well? Or any other schools? I put my application into UBC, but don't have too much hope.
I only applied to the Bachelor's Degree, but in retrospect I wish that I had applied to the diploma as well because if you get into the diploma at least you can get started on the PNUR classes. Waiting another year does change life plans for me too. I am only a few courses away from the certificate needed to apply to the RN program at Douglas so perhaps I will finish that up and see which program I get into first. Admissions told me that the first round of offers go out in March. Good luck to you!
I was told there is no threshold for points and that it all depends on where you sit in relation to other applicants--so if everyone that applied has lower scores, your score won't need to be as high. I should have 14 points, but we should get our final scores in a few weeks. I think many of us have courses from the first year crossed off so I am not sure what the protocol is with that.. I was hoping to take some 2nd year courses in my first year. I wish they offered PNUR courses in the summer to balance out semesters, as it looks like it's going to be really hard to work as well.

For the sake of simplicity, I created a new thread.
How many points are you expecting? I should end up with 12 which hopefully gives me a good chance
What was the cutoff for the previous intake?
