I just took it on Monday. I think there was about 27 or 28 questions. Some were worth 1 point (like the name for an abbreviation) and some were worth 5 points (actual dosages). I think there is only a small handful that are one pointers, most of them are 5 points. Do you have your test scheduled? There is a practice test you can take that is very helpful and is much like the real test. Good luck :)
Hey, thanks for your reply. Yeah, the reason I came on here and asked about the scoring is because I took it a week ago (on Thursday). We had 28 questions, and there were 4 abbreviation/shorthand questions.. 2 of which I answered wrong. I can't believe I got one of them wrong.. never had seen that medical term written in its abbreviated form when it hit me on the dosage test.
As for the calculations, I think I got them all right. If that's the case of them being worth 5 points, and the abbrev's only being worth 1 pt, then I should be okay... don't want to get my hopes up, but I have waited quite a while to get into the nursing program here... finally finished my pre-req's Summer 2010.
Thanks for the information .. it makes me feel a lot more confident about the exam.
The practice test I did not take.. I regret not signing up for it, for the reason that it would help prepare me for the real one, alone. I also did independent study for the calculations, didn't take the class they offered here at SCCC.

Does anyone know how the scoring for the new dosage exam at St. Charles Community College is done? It is out of 100, and only # amount of questions. Does anyone know if the questions are graded wholly, with each question being scored identically?
Anyone who has taken it and can provide some feedback would be greatly appreciated?
Thank you..
